Chord change counter does not work on ipad

I’m having some trouble with the Musopia app. On my iPhone I can use the microphone to “count” during my 1 minute chord change practice. But on my iPad I can’t, even though the microphone works for strumming single string in perfect chord exercise. App is updated and microphone is on.
